Robots that assist humans in challenging interventions

Origins - Roboplanet: Robotics & NDT

In 1999, the Erika sank off the coast of Brittany

ROBOPLANET was founded in Brest two months after this event. The company is now based in Nantes, France.

From the beginning, our ambition has been to develop innovative non-destructive testing (NDT) solutions for the inspection of large surfaces. These solutions provide decision-makers with the data they need to make the right maintenance decisions for their facilities.

They integrate the entire inspection chain: equipment, acquisition software, and data processing tools. These systems are automated and robotic. They access hard-to-reach environments to collect data without exposing inspectors to risk.

Every day, improving intervention conditions for professionals

The business began with the development of special machines and NDT services for the maritime sector. It then expanded into equipment sales to accelerate adoption.

At the same time, we expanded into defense, petrochemicals, aerospace, nuclear, and other industries. This growth has been made possible by close collaboration with the operational and HSE teams of our industrial clients.

Robotic design
Custom robots and remotely operated systems for hazardous environments.
Field deployment
Operational deployment on industrial, maritime, and nuclear sites.
Support
Training, maintenance, and operational support for a successful robotic transition.
Continuous innovation
Agile iterations with client teams from TRL1 to TRL9.

We act on the place of people in work by emphasizing meaning, individual responsibility, and commitment to safety. We work toward the robotization of traditional inspection professions while integrating the ecological dimension and the growing involvement of younger generations.
