Robots that assist humans in challenging interventions
Our History
In 1999, the Erika sank off the coast of Brittany
ROBOPLANET was founded in Brest two months after this event. It is now based in Nantes, France.
From the very beginning, our ambition has been to implement innovative non-destructive testing (NDT) solutions for the inspection of large surfaces.
These solutions provide decision-makers with data that enables them to make informed maintenance decisions for their facilities. They encompass the entire control chain: equipment, data acquisition and processing software.
These equipment are automated and robotic. They access hard-to-reach environments to collect data (visual feedback, wall thickness, dosimetry, explosivity, etc.) without exposing the inspectors.
Every day, we give our best to improve the working conditions for professionals and to ensure the safety of maritime and industrial structures.
The activity started with the development of special machines and the provision of NDT services in the maritime market.
It then expanded to include the commercialization of equipment to accelerate its adoption in the market. In parallel, we broadened our reach to the defense, petrochemical, aerospace, nuclear, and other industrial sectors.
This growth has been made possible thanks to close collaboration with the operational and HSE teams of our leading industrial clients.
Some interesting facts
The numbers speak for themselves
« We focus on the role of humans in the workplace, emphasizing the meaning of work, individual responsibility, and commitment to safety.
We also strive for the automation of traditional inspection professions, while integrating ecological and energy considerations for a post-oil future, the increasing involvement of youth, and the early engagement of HSE in projects. »
